That press preview occurred 40 years ago. The magazine guys used black and white film religiously. Someone did take some color photos of that press preview back in the summer of '69, but I don't know who did, or where the film is now. I have the chronology of the ZL-1 test mule in my book. That car was available to the press in the summer of 1969 as the 1970 models were delayed, and the 1969 models continued through December 1969. The blue that was used for the stripe was most probably a color that was taken directly out of the Chevrolet paint chip catalog from 1969.
